The Hundred Monkey Syndrome is about a group of scientists who dropped sweet potatoes on the beaches of a few uninhabited islands. As a rule the monkeys on each island would find the sand encrusted potatoes and eat them. On one island a monkey broke the pattern and washed a potato in the sea, and the rest of the monkeys in that group followed suit. Then the inexplicable happened: all of a sudden monkeys on other islands were doing the same thing. The islands are surrounded by sea, so clearly there was no physical contact or other direct influence. The experiment was repeated with similar results: the realistic conclusion is that there is a subtle dynamic in the form of a degree of group consciousness that resulted in group awareness of a methodology of reacting to change in the environment.
The theory is that when a certain realisation reaches a point of �critical mass� it can change the way a society thinks and acts. Could this happen with the current peace movement?

Ma ne vem, včasih si domišljam, da če bom močno verjel, da bo delovalo… Verjamem v materializacijo misli. Če bi nas bilo dovolj bi nam uspelo…
Ma sej TVja in časopisov sploh nimam, samo kamor koli se obrnem ista zgodba… Dolgočasno, nepotrebno in neumno…

ne vem koliko je eksperiment resničen…gre za to, da se je ta izraz prijel tudi v takem kontekstu v katerm se meniva
